On 13 November 2020, sixteen members of CCAT visited the Cascade Female Factory in South Hobart. We were guided by Sandra Lo who works as a volunteer at this well-known heritage historic site. Sandra gave us a very knowledgeable and passionate tour of the site and we all gained a good understanding of the time and life of female convicts during the early settlement of Tasmania. Sandra has strong family linkages to this site and we are most grateful to be able to share her family story with her during this most interesting visit.
