Brian Chung is the president of the Chinese Association ofTasmania and heir to some of the first Chinese to land on the island – those men who arrived in the late 1800s to mine tin in the North East.
It was hard and dirty work, and he spoke to Your Afternoon presenter Helen Shield on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the Chinese Association of Tasmania,of which his grandfather wasa founding member.
